How payment works
Different types of work follow different payment routes.
Therapy Sessions
The Play Way is a cash practice. Therapy sessions are paid by EFT directly to the practice, in advance.
A booking is confirmed once payment, or proof of payment, has been received. Sessions that have not been paid for or confirmed may be released to another client.
Group Offerings
Group offerings are booked and paid for through this website.
Depending on the offering, you may either book directly or register your interest first. Where registration is required, your place will be confirmed before payment is requested.
Payments are processed securely through PayFast. Card details are not sent to or stored by The Play Way.
Tailored Workshops & Programmes
Tailored workshops and programmes are arranged by enquiry.
Once the shape of the work is clear, a proposal and quotation will be provided, with invoicing and payment arrangements agreed from there.
Medical Aid
Fees are paid directly to The Play Way rather than claimed on your behalf.
If you need documentation for a medical-aid claim, you can request a monthly invoice.
Reimbursement is subject to your individual medical-aid plan and remains your responsibility.

Cancellation & rescheduling
Designed to respect both your circumstances and the time held for you.
Plans and circumstances change. This policy aims to be fair to both sides while protecting the time set aside for your work together.
Individual & Relational Therapy
- Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.
- If you cancel with the required notice and do not wish to reschedule, you may request a refund. Refund requests should be made within seven days of the cancellation.
- If a session needs to be cancelled because of illness or an unforeseen emergency, every effort will be made to accommodate a rescheduled appointment.
- Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without contact, may be charged in full. Each situation will be considered individually where genuine illness or emergency is involved.
If you do not arrive
Your appointment will be held for 10 minutes from the scheduled start time. If there has been no contact after 10 minutes, the session will be treated as a no-show and may be charged in full.
Late arrival
If you arrive late, the session will generally still end at the scheduled time, so that the next person's appointment is not affected.
Repeated rescheduling
Rescheduling is sometimes necessary. If frequent changes begin to make it difficult to maintain a consistent therapeutic process, we may discuss alternative arrangements or a different regular appointment time.

Group & Workshop Bookings
Minimum Attendance & Payment
Each group or workshop requires a minimum number of participants to proceed. Payment is made when you book or, where registration is required, once your place has been approved.
If an offering does not reach its minimum and does not go ahead, you will receive a full refund or may choose to transfer to another available date.
Participant Cancellations
Participants are requested to provide at least 24 hours' notice of cancellation before the scheduled workshop or the first gathering of a multi-session programme.
Eligible cancellations may be refunded or transferred to another available date or programme. A reasonable administration fee of up to R50 may apply to refunds, depending on the circumstances and costs incurred.
Late cancellations may be subject to a reasonable cancellation charge, taking into account the notice provided, costs incurred and the possibility of filling the place.
Emergencies should be communicated directly to The Play Way as soon as reasonably possible. No cancellation fee will apply where prohibited by law, including where the participant is unable to attend due to their death or hospitalisation.
Cancellations by The Play Way
If The Play Way cancels a workshop or programme, participants will receive a full refund without deductions or may choose to transfer to another available date or programme.
Multi-Session Programmes
Bookings for Women's Circle and other multi-session programmes cover the complete experience. Requests to cancel after a programme has commenced will be considered in accordance with applicable consumer law, taking into account sessions already delivered and reasonable costs incurred.
