The Play Way

Individual therapy

Individual sessions offer a dedicated space for reflection, exploration, and engagement with personal experience.

Sessions are shaped around the needs of each individual and are offered to both young people and adults.

Children & Adolescents (ages 6–18)

Children express themselves through play long before they speak the language of insight.

Therapy offers a structured space where emotions can be expressed, understood, and gradually processed.

Support may include work around

  • Emotional regulation
  • Anxiety and overwhelm
  • Trauma recovery
  • Self-esteem and identity development
  • Social and relational challenges
  • Neurodiversity-affirming care

The work is paced to meet each young person where they are developmentally and emotionally.

Adults

Adults (ages 18+)

Individual therapy incorporates a blend of reflective conversation and active exploration.

This supports deeper understanding of how past experiences shape present patterns, relationships, and ways of being.

People may seek therapy to explore

  • Attachment patterns
  • Relational dynamics
  • Trauma and its impact
  • Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
  • Life transitions
  • Developing self-trust and healthy boundaries

The work unfolds collaboratively, creating space for insight, expression, and meaningful change over time.
